Reports are starting to filter in about a shake-up by new Quiksilver CEO Andy Mooney, which involves a number of international pro surfer’s contracts being cancelled, as well as the retrenchment of some staff. Reports are still not clear as to the scale of the cost-cuttings, but they do mirror similar situations in many sectors of business and can be viewed as a sign of the times.
