Hand-Made Board Missing in Seapoint

There might be one thing better than getting a brand new custom board, and that’s riding the board that you shaped yourself. Losing a unique, hand-made design that took you over two months to shape – not so lekker. Brother in surf, Liam Bulgen, lost his one-of-a-kind surfboard on Monday at Queens in Sea Point, after using the tools he won from last year’s Bosch We Make It Sic competition.

“This board is a one-of-a-kind and it took me two to three months to make this prototype. It’s a 5’6 and has a carbon fibre top with an aluminium base. I used the tools I won from the last year’s We Make it Sic competition. My vinyl logos are finally ready for collection… I looked in every nook, cranny, pipe, gully, rock-ledge and beach in Sea Point. Yesterday I continued the search..” – Liam

If anyone in the area has any information relating to Liam’s missing board which please contact the Ed on will@zigzag.co.za. Fortunately, the boards bright, virtually indestructible design means that hope is not lost for Liam.
