eThekwini water officials have poo-poo’d concerns over water pollution along Durban city’s beaches, dismissing the research as unreliable. This follows a front page story in newspapers about the high levels of toxic chemicals found in Durban waters. eThekwini’s head of water, Neil Macleod, told media “We actually can’t do anything until further tests are done, so right now we are actually going to do nothing until we get a more definitive answer as to where exactly the pollution is coming from.”
