Guinness world record holder Garrett McNamara is making headlines again, but not because he’s ridden another 100ft wave. The charging Hawaiian is making headlines because he has withdrawn his entry into the 2013 Billabong XXL awards – citing the reason as being apposed to the event having an alcohol company as a presenting sponsor.
“I don’t want kids to think that they’re going to be able to accomplish their goals in life by drinking alcohol.” explained Garret. “That’s only gonna make your goals harder to accomplish and I didn’t want to be associated with that.” Read more here>>
