Festive Mood Shattered At Rolling Retro By Unfortunate Accident.

The festive mood down at Llandudno Beach for the RVCA Rolling Retro was shattered today, when Carlos De Nobrega, one of the contestants in the fun surf event, broke his leg during his heat.

“It snapped right through, bone sticking out and everything” reported Zag assistant editor, Alan van Gysen, from down on the beach. “There was lots of blood and we’re rushing Carlos to hospital now to have it operated on.”

Following Neil Zietsman’s accident at 1-foot Long Beach on Friday, Carlos’ injury is another reminder that small waves can be just as treacherous as huge ones.

Heal well, Carlos.

You need to check your facts. His leg was broken but the bone was not sticking right out, with only a small amount of blood oozing out. We at the lifesaving club wish Carlos’ a full recovery and hope to see him back on the beach soon.
