Durban surfers will be saddened to hear the news of the passing of one of the familiar faces along the beachfront. ‘Rasta’ – one of the regular sand-sculptors at North Beach, who always had time to flash a friendly smile and good vibes – was beaten to death this week by some bottom-feeders (of which there still appears to be plenty lurking around the Golden Mile). RIP Rasta, you’ll be missed.
