Black Gold Kills Turtles in Mexico

An oil spill off the beaches of Mexico’s surf-rich region of Oaxaca, home to the endless sandy points of Salina Cruz, has already killed more than 50 Olive Ridley Sea Turtles. The 4,750 gallon (about 18,000 litres) slick has covered more than 120 miles of coastline and was caused when a loading bouy sank out to sea.
