The entries for the 2017 Cell C Goodwave surfing event will close tomorrow at midnight, Wednesday 30 November. With more than 80 surfers entered for a possible slot into this premier South African surfing contest, the tournament organisers are going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to selecting the surfers.
There will be 32 surfers invited to compete in the event as well as 32 alternate surfers. Should there be any openings on the day the contest organisers are also open to possible walk-up entries. Once selected, the entry fee stands at R1, and the first prize for this tournament stands at R100k.
