As Round 3 is winding down in small surf, all the attention is on the upcoming super heat. Round 4, Heat 1, will see John Florence, Jordy Smith and Josh Kerr competing for the quarter final spot. With such a stacked match up, playful conditions and Round 4 being non-elimination, we can expect the guys to go big.
Zaffa Jordy Smith has been looking deadly and is likely to have the local crowds vote. With multiple airs already taking surfers to the bricks, and to the next round, JJF and Kerzy are looking in hot contention.
“It will be a full day of surfing,” says surf media guru, Craig Jarvis (Jarvi). “They will run as much as they can today because the forecast is looking bleak.”
