Scarborough ripper Max Armstrong is lined up to surf in the King of the Groms World Final in France.
It’s an event Gabriel Medina smoked in 2009, grabbing the surfing world’s attention in the process with his perfect 20 score in the final, while showcasing his now familiar aerial repertoire. It’s a prestigious event, open only to each participating country’s best Under 16 surfer, and Max earned his spot there by being just that.
Max, however, is requiring some extra funding to make sure he can be there to make name, as Europe doesn’t come cheap to a young pro from the deep south. He’s managed to hook up 2 x Rip Curl watches valued at R3 000 each and he’s having a raffle to find their new owners. R50 gets you a ticket and, hopefully, gets Max a air ticket.
Raffle tickets can be purchased by EFT to the account below, or you can get more details directly from Max’s former Big Wave World Champ father, Ian, on 082 768 4086 or ianarmstrong89@gmail.com
