This position will help lead day to day operations of Waves for Change. An ideal candidate would be familiar with the local community and keen to get your hands dirty and fix problems as they arise. While keeping the organization smoothly running, our Operations Manager would also work with the leadership to put in processes to streamline logistics. Everything from transportation plans, getting food to participants everyday, to working with our partner schools should be managed by our Operations Manager.

Requirements and details for Operations Manager position:
Languages:
• Afrikaans / Xhosa first language or fluent
• English
Education and skill sets:
• Matric
• Diploma preferable
• Driving License + no accidents.
• Excel and Word proficient
• Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
• Previous experience as volunteer in the NGO sector
Personal:
• Reliable & perceptive individual
• Team orientated
• Enjoy outdoor sports (Surfing not essential)
• Police clearance certificate / evidence of application for.
• Two strong references
Day to day tasks could include:
• Logistics- picking up and delivering surf equipment
• Transportation scheduling and trouble-shooting- fixing problem solving with combi driver schedule for child pick up
• Nutrition support- ensuring budget is available for weekly food purchase and food is fairly allocated
• Finance Logging
• Communications – building mailing lists and databases
• Events and Marketing – assist with W4C events and product launches
• Programme support – assisting with programme delivery when necessary
• Monitoring and Evaluation – assist with data collection and data entry
