As part of their Energy Justice campaign, the international environmental organisation are stopping by to show their support for the Thyspunt Alliance, who are campaigning hard to ensure that a purposed nuclear power plant does not get built at nearby Thyspunt, which lies just 12 kilometres west of Cape St Francis.

Concerned locals are encouraged to join the gathering from 17h00 this Thursday, and to wear a white shirt and bring along either a plain white or South African flag. A live band will be providing some entertainment and, weather permitting, a paddle out including surfers and rowers will take place to deliver a message of support to the Rainbow Warrior.

The event is for the whole family and IS NOT a protest, but a show of support. See updates on Thyspunt Alliance’s Facebook page.
