As 13-year-old James Coull mentions below, holiday season often brings with it a lot of unnecessary trash and waste to our beautiful coastline. Living in Umtentweni, James decided to sort out the problem himself this year and got to work making his local lekker again. For documenting his efforts, James gains entry into our Tuffy Beach Clean-Up competition, which puts him in the running to win a brand new shred stick compliments of Firewire and Share The Stoke Foundation.

“My name is James Coull. I am 13 years old and today I decided to do the Zigzag Tuffy-Firewire beach clean up at my local beach, Umtentweni. I did this clean up because during the holiday season many people litter and so I wanted to make it cleaner for surfers, locals and holiday-makers. I’d really love to win the awesome Firewire surfboard which I would surf at my now cleaner beach. I hope this helped make my beach a cleaner and safer place.” – James Coull
