Hey, Teacher!

Being a teacher is a pretty influential role, and teaching our groms to preserve our beaches is something that should definitely be encouraged, which is exactly what Paarl Primary School teacher, André Dippenaar, did with his class. And by documenting their efforts, Andre has gained entry into our Tuffy Beach Clean-Up competition, which puts him in the running to win a brand new shred stick compliments of Firewire and Share The Stoke Foundation.

“Here, the children in my class and I cleaned up the beach between Trekoskraal and Tietiesbaai, a 14Km walk! Unfortunately the weather got pretty bad on the Sunday morning and this photo was taken in the rain just before we left. I told the children about the competition and they are pretty excited for me to win. I’d really like to have a surfboard, in December I’m going camping at Lamberts Bay for three weeks!” – André Dippenaar
