Got My Tuffy Bag, and My Flippy Floppies

Chad Gary Minnaar is on a boat! And while sailing from Richards Bay to Cape Town, he’s been pre-empting the beach-litter problem by scooping up rubbish from the ocean before it reaches our coast. By documenting his efforts, Chad gains entry into our Tuffy Beach Clean-Up competition, which puts him in the running to win a brand new shred stick compliments of Firewire and Share The Stoke Foundation.

“I saw the Tuffy “Clean Your Beach” advert in the latest Zag, which is great because surfing amongst rubbish is not rad. Surfing a FireWire on the other hand, would be rad in any conditions! Cleaning up our beaches is very important and I love the way you guys are making it fun.”

“Due to my current situation, delivering a pommy’s yacht from Richards Bay to Cape Town, I haven’t touched soil for the past five days so I’ve improvised by collecting the rubbish out of the water before it reaches land. Ultimately I hope that this will be cleaning up quite a few beaches along the way. My bag isn’t choka-block but it definitely will make a difference, small or big, we’ve got to start somewhere right?” – Chad Gary Minnaar
