Fishing Out The Plastic In Gansbaai

Our first entry for November comes from Riaan van Staden and his son Jaco. When accumulated, those little bits of plastic can form a nasty, imperishable trash monster. Sea creatures often mistake these little bits for food and the results are devastating. But thankfully there are good citizens around cleaning beaches and earning a chance to win a brand new Firewire.

“Hi Zigzag

It would be great to win one of those Firewire boards. Thanks for this cool competition.

Here are photo’s after my son and I picked up a bunch of cable ties and other plastic items. This was done at Romansbaai beach in Gansbaai in the Western Cape. I must tell you that my son Jaco was not impressed with all the rubbish that we had collected.”
