Who will be the next Quiksilver King Of The Groms?

Quiksilver’s King Of The Groms is currently underway in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, Fernando De Noronha, Brazil. Also known as the “Brazilian Hawaii.” Out of the top ten super-groms who made is past Rounds 1 and 2, only one South African, Sebastian Williams, managed to make it through to the final stage after cracking the wildcard nod from Dane Reynolds.

Fernando De Noronha, Brazil. The venue for Quiksilver KOTG’s 2015 – currently on it’s final day.

With some extensive travelling over the past few days with his father, Tim Williams, it’s been difficult to squeeze any info out of them during preparation and the build up to the comp. When we asked Sebastian how things were going the day before things kicked off, all he managed to say amidst the madness was that they’d been travelling for the last 24 hours and were very excited to reach Fernando De Noronha.

Fellow finalist, Jordy Collins of the USA was recently interviewed by Stab Magazine, and when asked who he thought was the biggest threat he had this to say: “I’d say the kid who’s ripping right now is Sebastian Williams. That’s kinda who everyone’s gunning for. It’s been sick to watch.” Let’s hope he’s right and Seabass can bring home the win and the $20 000 that goes with it!
