Kommetjie charger, Matt Bromley, and KZN powerhouse, Slade Prestwich, are currently in a battle with Indonesia’s Oney Anwar and Garut Widiarta in the Semi Finals of the ‘Smith Grudge Match‘ – an online freesurf video event.
Right now they’re in second place a few hundred votes behind, but are hoping some support from their fellow Saffas will push them into the lead and a spot in the finals against either one of USA or Australia – depending on who takes out Semi Final 2. Besides the bragging rights for Mzansi if our surfers win, there’s also US$10,000 at stake for the pair of shredders if they walk away with the title.
