In another action packed day on the Gold Coast, the best of the best put on a massive show. Tour veterans hang on amid heavy action as the usual suspects sent rookies and replacements home early. Epic surf greeted competitors as the no lose round four dawned. Surfing’s elite took to the Snapper Rocks line up for a full day of competition, dishing out a great day of surfing for all spectators.
Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Highlights
Felipe Toledo continued to light the point up, scoring the event’s first perfect 10. Winning his heat and earning a place in the quaterfinals where he will meet Joel Parkinson’s whose local knowledge defeated WSL rookie Caio Ibelli in round five with a pair of eights.

Current World Champion, Adriano de Souza, lost to Australia’s Matt Wilkinson in round four and went on to defeat Conner Coffin in round five. Adriano will meet Wilko in their upcoming qauterfinal match when competition resumes.
Kolohe Andino nailed a clean air, earning enough points to win his round four match up and secure a spot in the quaters where he will meet Adrian Buchan.

Stuart Kennedy continues his fairy tale run at the Quiksilver Pro, finding himself in a quaterfinal heat with John John Florence. Stu, having already taken down some of the biggest names and seeds in the event will be looking to continue his WSL debut and finish with a win. He now has the mountain of John’s surfing ability to overcome.

South Africa’s Bianca Buitendag lost in round four of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast against Johanne Defay (FRA) who will face Courtney Conlogue of the USA in their semifinal clash.
Tyler wright will take on Carissa Moore in semifinal heat one after she defeated local girl and event favourite Steph Gilmore in the quaterfinals.
