The next stop on the 2015 WSL Championship Tour is the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France, which takes place in the fantastic beachbreak peaks of Hossegor between 6 – 17 October. Mick Fanning (AUS) and Courtney Conlogue (USA) lead the rankings heading into the event, but there’s everything to fight for with the Men’s and Women’s world titles still up for grabs. However, with events running out, it is becoming a case of now or never for those with title hopes that are chasing the leaders.
Bianca spent time in France recently in preparation for a big finish to this year’s tour.
After an excellent run of results that saw her make the semis or finals in four consecutive events, Bianca Buitendag bowed out early in Portugal last week to drop from fourth to fifth in the rankings. The Southern Cape local will be looking to regain that earlier momentum in Hossegor, where she spent plenty of time training for the last stretch of this year’s Dream Tour. Will Jordy Smith make his long-awaited return to competitive surfing in France? We sure hope so, but with no set date on his recovery from injury, we’ll be waiting for news as to whether we will see him shredding in France or not.
What else can we expect in France? Check out the press release below for more details.
