Highlights from the opening rounds of the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach
Clean surf for the opening rounds of the Rip Curl Pro had the world’s best surfers blowing up for the crowds of spectators over the Easter weekend at Bell’s Beach.
Jordy Smith fell short to John John’s fireworks, where Florence dominated the final heat of Round One over the South African and Jadson Andre (BRA). His 8.5 was the best ride of the day, and catapulted him directly into Round Three while Jordy will surf in Round Two against Adam Melling.
Bianca Buitendag lost to Carissa Moore in Round Three and will surf against Alessa Quizon for a spot in the Quaterfinals.
