The ASP have just released their 2014 World Tour schedule, and by the second event on the list surf fans will already notice the changes. That’s because Margaret River has been added as the second stop on the Men’s Dream Tour, and the Margaret River Pro will start on 2 April and finish on 13 April – just three days prior to the former second event on Tour – the long-running Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach.
Having competed in the Drug Aware Pro, Bianca Buitendag is familiar with Margaret River’s face.
Other notable changes on the Men’s tour are that Volcom and Oakley will no longer be the title sponsors for the Fiji Pro and Bali Pro. The rest of the list reads much like it did in 2013.
On the ASP Womens World Tour side of things, Bianca Buitendag and the rest of the Top 17 will be stoked to see Fiji, Trestles and Hossegor added to the schedule, while they will be bummed to see the axing of the Taranaki, New Zealand event from the schedule.
With ZoSea assuming full control of the ASP in 2014, surf fans the world over are eagerly anticipating what the new season will bring.
The ASP have once again promised to showcase the world’s best surfers in the world’s best waves.

Red Bull should take over the Bali Pro!
3 stops in Aus and still no JBay!? What a joke.
Gob I agree 100% about Jbay …..but the ASP is not for for the surfers anymore they are now Zo-frikken-sea …ready to take on the land hugging masses-yes Huh ?
Billabong Oz (not local SA guys) are the buggers who chopped it after loosing whole bunch of their value when listing on the stock exchange during recession=greedy.com
Bottom Line -more waves for the locals/visitors and maybe 5 years from now Jbay will make a comeback.
What about Fiji? The guys will have to dress in drag and join the girls for that one.
Howzit Anton, Fiji was there, just a formatting error had it on the same line as Bali. No dressing in drag will be required 😉
No JBay? You sure??
