Bianca Buitendag finishes ninth at Drug Aware Margaret River Pro

Bianca_Feat

Bianca Buitendag surfed gracefully on her way to an equal ninth at the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro today – her second contest as a Dream Tour rookie.

Her smooth-as-silk backhand appeared custom-made for the rights at Surfers Point, however, she came up short in her heat against former world champ Carissa Moore by not backing-up the highest scoring ride of their dual, and was eliminated in Round 4.

Still, a good performance by the Southern Cape local, and her countless hours perfecting her backhand on Vic Bay’s solid rights is evidenced in the highlights clip below:

Bianca’s skills with her back to the wall will be on display once again at the next stop on her Dream Tour rookie season, which is Bells Beach for the Rip Curl Women’s Pro on 27 March.
