There is no shortage of sea life on the wilder coasts of East London – close encounters and merry whale watching sessions aren’t uncommon. This isn’t always a welcome sight, however. Slum Town locals are encouraged to spread the news that a humpback whale has washed up in front of the Yellow Sands caravan park; just a few hundred meters from the beach break. It is believed to have beached around 5pm yesterday (Monday, 22 August). It is recommended that surfers steer clear of Yellow’s and the surrounding area as there are already some visible nibble marks from our friends in grey suits… Plans to move the poor guy are still uncertain.
