Womens’ surfing in SA has always been a force to be reckoned with on the international stage. You can think back to the days of Wendy Botha’s domination and world titles, or Heather Clark’s backhand attack on the world tour and recent World Masters titles. After Heather there was Rosy and Nikita representing on an international level, and now we have Bianca Buitendag to fly the flag on the world tour, with Sarah Baum looking to join her imminently.
With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the girls back home whom they’ve inspired, tearing it up at the recent Hurley SA Junior Champs and looking to keep the SA flag flying proudly into the future.
