Rolling Retro 2013 went off like Woodstock, minus the rain, filthy hippies and mud!

Llandudno Beach once again delivered flawless weather, fun waves and gorgeous women draped over the glistening golden sands like lazy leopards ready to pounce on the bronzed surfers, who were enjoying one of the best days of the year. MC’s Captain Kai and Ilan Sheer kept the masses entertained, while over 150 surfers took their favourite classic surfboards from Vudu Surf’s huge collection for half hour heats and a couple of sneaky free surfs. Even the dolphins decided to join the party and ride some peaks with the Llandudno crowd.
Though Rolling Retro is not a competition, there were some prizes on offer through the day with great hampers from Vudu Surf, RVCA, O’Neill, Hurricane and Reef Wetsuits, while everyone was kept hydrated and fresh by Red Bull and Carling Black Label.

Best Surfer: Zac Wrankmore
Best Dressed Man: Anton Louw
Best Dressed Lady: Candi
A huge thank you must go to Robby McDonald for his amazing support of Llandudno surfing and of this event! Also a big thanks to the Llandudno Lifesaving Club for their assistance. Once again we managed to raise enough money for the club to attend the SA Lifesaving Champs later this year! See you next year…
