In this new series, we get in the bay with the most important person in a surfer’s life. No, not their mom, dad or husband/wife – their shaper – the person who crafts the boards we ride.
First up, we headed to the KZN north coast to meet up with Johno Hutchison, who has been shaping boards for one of SA’s top surfers, Mikey February, for as long as the 21 year-old Capetonian can remember.
