Kalk Bay Shootout 2013

[scrollGallery id=145]

It wasn’t as solid as last year’s event, but the 2013 Kalk Bay Shootout was still a fiercely contested affair between K-Bay locals looking to grab the bragging rights of being The Reef’s ultimate champ.

Featuring both a stand-up and bodyboarding division, the Shootout is run by the locals for the locals, and is a great example of how no matter what discipline you choose, we’re all after the same thrills – fat barrels, massive airs, and solid gouges on the sickest waves we can find.

Winning the stand-up division was Rob Hope, while Johnny Maritz took out the bodyboarding division.
