World Surf League (WSL) action kicked-off up the KZN north coast on Sunday, 28 June, with the Ballito Womens Pro presented by Billabong, as well as the Ballito Pro Trials to decide the two wildcards into the main event.
Nikita Robb clinched victory in the closely fought Ballito Womens Pro, while Brazil’s Robson Santos and Flavio Nakagima claimed their spot in the Ballito Pro by beating a field of South African and International competitors in the Trials. These are some of the highlights from the opening day of action at Willard Beach.
