Swell, tide and wind aligned for Durban this past week. Ten days of back-to-back swell with pristine sandbanks between the piers had locals and visitors frothing at the mouth. Now with the onshore starting to puff, the Durban surf community are undoubtedly nursing some stiff shoulders and every type of chafe imaginable. North coast photographer Luke Patterson took his creative eye to the water, capturing the wave rich start to February.
