Dungeons & Whale Cove go LRG

[scrollGallery id=40]

A massive WSW swell which peaked overnight around the 8m mark, sent some heavy waves to a few of Cape Town’s big wave spots over the weekend. Here’s a couple of images from Claire Butler, who missioned to the Boland, and Corne Snyders, who hiked down the Sentinel to snap a couple long-range images of the tow crew going hard at Dungeons.

“Whale Cove” isn’t a secret spot – why the pseudonym?

I know “Jack” is as common a name as “David” and our shared surname “Smith” even more so … but FYI I am natural and he is goofy 🙂

Apologies David, we did call Chantal Malherbe to try and verify the name of the riders, as she was there shooting the session and Gideon was already on a plane to his next destination. So it appears it was a mix-up. Will amend asap. Sick waves BTW.
