It’s that easy to win a surfboard in our Tuffy Beach Clean-Up competition! Fill a Tuffy bag with litter collected from your favourite beach and send us the evidence, which will put you in line to win a brand new board sponsored by Firewire and Share the Stoke Foundation each month until the end of January 2016.
Tuffy Beach Clean-Up kicked-off at the beginning of August and three stoked readers have put themselves in contention for this month’s Firewire; Durban North local, Bryan Paynter spent a morning tidying his local beach and put together a rad edit of the good work he did down there. Cape Town’s Stephen Cruickshank, meanwhile, told us about how he has been regularly scouring the reef at Kalk Bay during low tide and removing rubbish he finds. He sent us some photos and is also in line to win a Firewire for his efforts. Down at Happy Wanderers beach on KZN’s south coast, Gavin Davies and his son Chad collected bagfuls of trash and discarded fishing line one Saturday, and forwarded the evidence to put themselves in the running.
Bryan Paynter put together this video entry of his Tuffy Beach Clean-Up efforts.
In the upcoming issue of Zigzag (Volume 39 No.7), you’ll find a Tuffy bag inserted inside which you’ll be able to use to enter the Tuffy Beach Clean-Up. Fill it and send us some info about where, when and how, and you’ll stand a chance of winning next month’s Firewire. And you don’t even need to wait until you get your hands on a copy of the new mag because any Tuffy bag will do.
