Last month we announced that we’ve once again teamed-up with Bosch and Dremel to invite our readers to show us their Surf Innovation and Craftsmanship in our 2014 WE MAKE IT SIC competition. Entries into the D-I-Y comp can include anything from a surf-inspired sculpture, to a piece of furniture or an invention. Anything goes really, as long as it has some connection to surfing.
And so far we’ve received a couple of rad entries. Like this wave carved out of mahogany by Eric Cotie, for example.
Or how about this hand-crafted surfboard by David Mousset, which was expertly constructed using paulownia wood veneers over an EPS core.
Of course, although it’s a great material to use, entries are not restricted to wood. So get your creative mind to work and stand a chance to win a share of the R30,000 in power tools that are up for grabs.
Visit WeMakeIt.co.za to check out more entries or to submit a creation of your own.
