The third leg of the Monster Energy Pitstop powered by Zigzag in association with O’Neill and iON Action Cameras is well underway, and Adin Jeenes is in poll position to clinch this month’s victory.
Adin submitted this classic Lombok tube to this month’s leg.
That’s because he is the only barrel hunter to upload an entry so far…
This won’t be the case for long though, as we anticipate a couple of entries coming in from recent swells that offered no shortage of monster barrels. Durban was pumping last week and the Eastern Cape had some special moments, which means there are probably a chunk of potential winning clips waiting to be submitted. If you’re sitting on some gold, get those entries flowing – it could be you taking home the big win.
There was plenty of swell in Durban and Ricky Basnett got stuck right in.
Get your entries in before the end of the month to stand a chance of winning the R5000 hamper from O’Neill and an iON Air Pro Wifi Lite worth R2500. The winning entry this month will also become the third of five finalists in line for the ‘Pit of the Year’ grand prize worth R30 000.
Pit of the Year prize includes:
• R15 000 to the winning surfer
• R10 000 to the winning videographer
• An iON Air Pro 3 WiFi worth R5 000
In other news, Monster Energy team rider and Pitstop judge, Nic Von Rupp, has just qualified for the Moche Rip Curl Pro Portugal by winning the trials. He’ll be looking for some sick barrels of his own at Supertubos as he takes on the Dream Tour favourites.
Nic Von Rupp, stoked on his Trials victory in Portugal.
