This coming weekend is a biggie for the deep south town of Kommetjie. Not only will the annual Kom Festival be taking place, but you’ll also have the chance to check out some great art by stoked surfer artists like Chris Brehem, Van Wessels and Lyndon Read amongst others at the Kommetjie Art Festival.
Meanwhile, in Durban a collection of fine artists have custom painted some Crafty Hands Surfboards, which are available for purchase on the Dirty Collective website.
Contributing artists are; Christian Mugnai, Skullboy, DOK, Dee Donaldson, Karen Dennyschene, Trevor Paul and Warwick Kay, and all proceeds from the sale of the surfboards will be going to the Umthombo Street Children project.
