Late last week Zigzag staff photographer Alan van Gysen and a crew of surfers were greeted by this sign on the point at Elands Bay. Even though the sign had yet to be cast in concrete foundations, it appears to be legit and sanctioned by the National Parks, Beaches and Recreations Act.
The sign follows a number of alleged incidents in E-Bay where SUP’s have collided with surfers. There have also been reports of altercations between SUP riders, windsurfers and surfers.
Zigzag is busy verifying the authenticity of the sign and will report back with a full update on the situation.
