MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal – Day 5
Supertubos at 2-3 foot is what we’ve been waiting for all year long! A punchy beach break that allows two maybe three turns or one large air. And the best thing about it, you don’t know what the waves going to do once it hits the bank! So you might as well take as many waves as you can, and throw caution to the wind by taking to the skies. Day 5 at Supertubos became an airfest, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! Wish the boys at Surfline providing the forecasts would highlight air waves as much as they do large thundering barrels, maybe it’d force the top 34 to set their fins free more often.
Anyhoo, as per usual, AVG hasn’t lost a beat backstage. Delight yourself in his imagery of Day 5 of the proceedings as well as the beautifully cobbled streets of Peniche.
