Over 90 gorgeous contestants have already entered Miss Zag 2013, and all are in with a chance of grabbing the title of ‘SA’s Ultimate Beach Babe’ – as well as winning a stack of prize from sponsors Rip Curl and Reef Brazil; a trip for two to Mauritius made possible by All Aboard Surf Travel; and a quiver of surfboards from Natural Curve.
In order to get to know some of our contestants a little better, we’ve asked them to fill in the blanks. This week we meet the lovely Kim Schreiber from Slummies.
Hi my name is Kim, but you can call me Kimbo!
To make a living I study at Stellenbosch University, but I’d rather be improving my surfing skills.
The funniest thing I ever saw was one of my guy friends acting like a Barbie doll while under hypnosis, and jumping on another man’s lap trying to kiss him.
My favourite item of clothing is a flirty summer dress, but I would swap it any day for a crotchet bikini.
The last time I went to Long Beach I saw a whale.
Out of all my friends Saskia has the most beautiful eyes.
If I’m not at the beach, then you can catch me at an art studio painting the beach.
I think surfers are extremely talented (and sexy), but are underestimated for the work they put in.
I’d love to one day learn to surf like a pro, but you’d never catch me surfing anywhere near Seal Island!
If I had three wishes, I’d wish for; everyone to put aside their differences and be accepting of one another; to travel to as many beautiful places as I can in one lifetime; and that those beautiful places will remain that way.
I secretly have a crush on Johnny Depp, even though he’s a bit of an oddball.
I have a pet dog called Kelso – named after Ashton Kutcher on “That 70’s Show” because he’s beautiful, but a total idiot.
My most embarrassing moment was when I got a speed-wobble cycling down a hill, skidded and did a flying attack on a telephone post on the side of the road… in front of a line of waiting cars – cringe worthy of one of those ‘Ultimate Fail videos’ for sure!
My ultimate dream is to travel to every continent in the world, but if that doesn’t work out then I think I’ll be okay with just three or four.

With entries and voting closing on 26 November, there’s a little over a month left for beach babes across the country to sign-up and get in the running at www.misszag.co.za.
