Zigzag in partnership with GoPro is proud to present Zag Shorts – an online video competition open to the SA public with some great prizes up for grabs. So dust off those lenses, get shooting and win!
Calling all videographers, show us what you’ve got!
For the next eight months the videographer who enters the best short clip each month will win a GoPro Hero camera, SD card and handler, as well as go into the final that will see the winner grab R20 000 in cash and join Zag on an all-expenses paid surf trip to document the adventures they find.
As far as rules go there aren’t many, but videos need to be about surfing or the ocean in some way and come in under 5 minutes. Whether that’s an all-action surf clip, a profile on a surfer, an animated video, documentary or short skit, that’s up to you. Creativity is key, and we’re expecting the competition to be tough, so plan well and shoot sharp.
Cape Town’s David van Rensberg has already sent in the first entry titled ‘Halo Storm’, which he shot on a stormy day at Dungeons on 31 May.
Once produced, send your clips to calvin.jnr@zigzag.co.za and you’re in the running. These can be sent as links to your video already uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo, or you can submit your full clip via wetransfer.com to the e-mail address listed above. And remember, entries are unlimited, so if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again…
