Cape Pipeline

“What’s so amazing about the Reef is that it’s a complete miniature of Pipeline,” wrote Shafiq Morton in ‘Cape Pipeline’ featured in Zigzag Vol. 9 No.1 (1984). For decades the shallow strip of red bait covered reef overlooked by the Brass Bell pub has been the focus of hard-charging locals, and Kalk Bay has been dishing out the barrels and beatings all along.
