We’ve already received a number of quality entries into our WE MAKE IT SIC competition, which is our third annual D-I-Y showdown for a big prize sponsored by power tool manufacturers Bosch and Dremel.
Here’s a look at Llands local Jasper Eales’ video featuring the surfboard racks he’s entered into the competition.
Surfboard racks; a carved wooden surfer; a surfboard bar counter and chair, as well as a surfboard lamp – those are just a few of the entries already received, which is going to make the judges’ decision a tough one when it comes time to pick a winner amongst the quality submissions produced from a host of different mediums. The rules are that anything goes, really, as long as it is handmade and has something to do with surfing.
Thomas Catlin put his pile of broken boards to good use by creating this surfboard chair.
Anyone keen to enter still has until 30 October to create and submit their little masterpiece, which could see them score not only the bragging rights of being a D-I-Y guru, but also ensure that they take home their share of over R30 000 in power tools.
