Pieter Cronje from George, Ishmaeel Cassim from Milnerton and Laurence Midgley from Glen Beach are all the new owners of a custom-shaped board from Spider Murphy, courtesy of the Zigzag Reader Survey.
To win one of the three Safari surfboards which were up for grabs, all you had to do was fill in the survey and tune us your thoughts. The deal was that the best quips or answers would win a board, but it was a ridiculously tough call selecting the best answers from the thousands of entries in the end. The solution: we narrowed down a shortlist of the best answers and popped them in a random draw, with our three winners coming out tops.
Check out the full reader survey in the current issue of Zag on sale now, and if you didn’t win this time, don’t despair: we’re running a reader question on www.zigzag.co.za every month, with the best answers appearing in the mag. One lucky winner from there will also win an epic prize each issue.
Stay tuned for the upcoming survey and check out the winning answers below:

My ego was severely broken in 100 places after seeing Jordy shred my homebreak. – Laurence Midgley, 15, Glen Beach

To stay humble. There’s always someone who rips harder than you. – Ishmaeel Cassim, 27, Milnerton
