Ansteys Beach Backpackers has a great chilled vibe and is situated on the Bluff, a suburb just 15 kms south of Durban, with the city beaches a quick drive away. The surf at Ansteys is pretty consistent, with Cave Rock just down the road. We offer varied accommodation options to suit all budgets: backpacker dorms; self catering apartments and rooms (some airconditioned).
Pop in to Heidi’s Café (onsite) for great breakfasts, good filter coffee and home baked treats after a morning surf session and watch some classic surf videos or page through surf mags while you wait for your order. Small surf shop on site, pool table, swimming pool and braai areas.
