Davey Weare on the first swell to hit J-Bay in 2010. It had been firing all day, a great way to start the year for surfing but not so great for my gear which was stolen that night. Thanks to backup I still have the pics.

Royden Bryson's surfing on his backhand at J-Bay is insane to watch, whenever we shoot together we are always guaranteed great shots.

I have been fortunate enough to shoot with Jordy a lot, this was a lay day during the Billabong Pro, I had the Red Bull ski with me and we put it to good use at some beach breaks, and yes, he made this turn.

It's not often Jordy visits the West Coast but when he does he takes full advantage of all the ramp sections. This was taken at Derdesteen, end of winter 2009.

Sometimes the simplist pictures can capture your deepest thoughts. Jeremy Johnson and Chris Bertish out at Robben Island. This day we made the long boat trip from Hout Bay and scored some perfect waves.

Frank Soloman getting the ride of the session at this West Coast slab as Royden Bryson cheers and Jason Hearn keeps the film rolling.

Twiggy will go, that should say enough about him. You can find him out at any big swell at any part of the country at anytime. Not sure how he does it. Twiggy about to test his breath hold out at Bayview.

Either you go or you don't. Paul Daniel missing an absolute smoker out at Dungeons. The wave after this Paul got totally slotted but we were set too far out and only saw the take off.

Durban visitor Ryan Butcher is a regular in the line up at Dungeons. He had his fair share of waves as well as beatings. He is about to get his crayfish quota for the day.

Twiggy always seems to get the monsters at any swell. This was the last wave of the session before we headed out. If it was not for Brenton Geach's "just one more wave" policy we would have missed this one.
