Jordy Smith and Goldfish release Flying Stealth

25/02/10 ~ By Admin ~

Jordy Smith and SA’s top electronic act, Goldfish, come together with ‘Project GoldSmith’ to release their music single ‘Flying Stealth’.

Jordy Smith, and SA’s top electronic act, Goldfish, collaborate with their amply coined ‘Project GoldSmith’ and release of their brand new music single – ‘Flying Stealth’. The news of the unique project was broken on the Surfer magazine website at the beginning of the week. Soon after it became viral and was twittered, facebooked and emailed across the world, sparking some interesting discussion.

Zigzag scribe, Craig Jarvis, got hold of Jords for a quick chat about the occasion.

“I wasn’t really sure what I was going to sing about,” said Jordy. “I had a few lines and ideas, but some more words came to me. I was feeling it I guess. Kind of belting some lines out.”

And so Flying Stealth, by Jordy Smith vs. Goldfish, was born.

Meanwhile, Zigzag had a sneak listen to ‘Flying Stealth’ a few days ago - with some trepidation to be honest. Surprisingly, the smooth lyrics and audio overtones, in the talented hands of Goldfish’s Dave Pool and Dom Peters makes for one slick track here. We skeem Jordy shouldn’t give up his day job just yet but can definitely be proud to hold his head up high with Flying Stealth. Although we suspect that some will disagree?

What do you rate about the project and the song? Will SA’s two biggest acts come together to take over the world? Is Jordy pulling a Kelly Slater and playing mind games with the rest of the CT with a music side project? We want to know your thoughts.
