Sardine Run Update - Friday 18.6.2010 / Sardines in Durban - Nets removed.

23/07/10 - 13:46:30PM ~ By Mike Anderson-Reade - KZN Sharks Board ~

Mushy seas are proving problematical for the netters off Durban where are lots of fish in the area. Netting has however taken place off Glenashley, Beachwood and Virginia 5 times already today. Still looking good with the sardine stretching now from Amanzimtoti through to Zinkwazi and visible from the shore.

Please keep updated on the sardine hotline 083 913 9495.

Zigzag has been informed that the shark-nets have been removed along the Durban Basin. Bathing and surfing has been temporarily banned along the Golden Mile. once Once sardine activity decreases and the nets replaced the public will be allowed back into the sea.
