20/06/11 - 00:00:00AM ~ By Zigzag ~

Patto gets slotted during his recent Mentawai trip for his Oakley One Wave Wonder entry.

We're into the final week of uploads for the fifth and final leg of the Oakley One Wave Wonder and a couple of epic clips were uploaded over the weekend. With entries closing on Saturday 25th at midnight any surfer who wants to get in on the winning action better do so soon. There's R10 000 bucks up for grab for this leg, plus the winner becomes the fifth finalist in line for the R50 000 grand prize, plus the trip for two to G-Land worth over R30 000 made possible by surf travel specialists All Aboard Surf Travel.

Among the entries submitted this weekend was an incredible double barrel from Dane Patterson during his recent trip to the Mentawais, Josh Salie gets technical with a futuristic air of the Kalk Bay end section after backdooring a pit and both Llewellyn Whittaker and Byron Lindsay tackle some sizeable waves on their backhand.

Question
Should fishermen be allowed to pull a trek net through the lineup and bathing area at Surfer’s Corner in Muizenberg?

Yes, people’s lives depend on it (food). The surfers and bathers have alternatives.

No, people’s lives depend on it (shark attacks). The fishermen have alternatives.

No opinion either way, don’t care, doesn’t make a difference to the universe, etc.
